The Association of Alcohol and other Drug Agencies NT (AADANT) has put together an acronym and abbreviation list for the NT AOD sector.
The Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector in the Northern Territory is a combination of clinical, therapeutic and support services working with a diverse range of stakeholders and clients.
The abbreviations and acronyms commonly used in meetings and workplaces can make it difficult to interpret for those external to the sector or newly starting in a role.
AADANT have put together this list to help navigate through the terminology and language you are likely to encounter when working in the NT AOD sector.
