Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation operates a Youth Accommodation Service (YAC) for Indigenous youth in the Barkly region ages 18-25 who are in employment or training. The 16 bed facility can provide short or long term accommodation.
The residents are provided with ensuite private rooms (TV & Air conditioning), three meals a day (including a packed lunch if they require it.) Residents pay rent on a sliding scale dependent on their income, ranging from $120 per week for trainees only in receipt of Centrelink benefits, through to $220 for workers on reasonable wages.
There are 8 rooms for young men and 8 rooms for young women separated into two different wings.
