At Sand Palm Consulting we are local minded and have extensive community service experience within the Northern Territory. We understand our people, our communities and the environments in which we operate in.
We also have a cultural advisory team to ensure that our services and products are right for those that they are intended for.
Our areas of expertise are in Volatile Substance Misuse (VSM), remote location service delivery, youth, youth and adult AOD therapeutic interventions and models of care, Therapeutic Community models of care, trauma/ Trauma Informed Care practice and the adoption of new models of care.
Our Clinical Supervision sessions focus on, case reviewing, debriefing and support, ongoing professional development and education, reflective practice, burn out prevention, harm minimisation strategies and ongoing feedback. All of our work is supported by current First Nations specific evidence-based practices.
Our Supervisors:
Elizabeth Stubbs – has over 20 years’ experience of working within the community services sector. Elizabeth has been a member of the NHMRC Consensus committee who developed the Clinical Guidelines in VSU, involved in the review of VSU and AOD sections of the CARPA Health Manual and a contributing author of the Handbook for Aboriginal alcohol and drug work among other expert knowledge projects. Elizabeth has a Batchelor in Behavioural Science and certificates in AOD and Community Services and Clinical Supervision.
Harry Morrison – Specialises in youth AOD care and Therapeutic Community models of care. Harry comes from a background of Paramedics and has worked in the youth AOD and remote community services sector for the past six years. Harry has Therapeutic Accreditation with the AUSTRALASIAN THERAPEUTIC COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION and has numerous AOD and mental health certificates along with Clinical Supervision.
